Día de los Muertos or The Day of the Dead celebrations are based on the belief that the souls of lost loved ones can come back to this world on November 1st and 2nd.
Spanish Conversation Groups are taking place NOW at Northrop Frye, Room 008 from 3-5pm and continue until Nov 29th! It's a great chance to grow in speaking Spanish, no matter what level you are at! Come and practice to get that 100% on your oral exam!
Intonation workshop: February 11 (4-7; Vic 115); February 12 (9-5; EM 119).
The goal of this workshop is to broadcast the research on intonation at UofT and to establish a dialogue with experts around the world. There will be short presentations by faculty members, alumni and graduate students and three invited speakers, Prof. Carlos Gussenhoven, Prof. Ineke Mennen and Prof. José Ignacio Hualde. This workshop is supported by a SSHRC insight development grant to Profs. Colantoni (UofT) and Ortega Llebaria (University of Pittsburgh).
