Biography : 

Sam is a fifth-year PhD candidate specializing in the morphosyntax and semantics of the noun phrase. He holds a Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship (2021–2024) and has been awarded a Connaught International Scholarship (2019–2021) and an International Ontario Graduate Scholarship (2020–2021). He is currently a research assistant for the SSHRC-funded project The Syntax of Nominal Linkers (PI: Arsalan Kahnemuyipour, 2020–present) and was previously one for Spanish L2 Morphosyntax (PI: María Cristina Cuervo, 2020–2021). He has been a course instructor for English Grammar, English Words, Spanish for Beginners, and Spanish Pronunciation and has served as a teaching assistant for a variety of courses in linguistics and Spanish.
