PRT358H1-S Topics in Portuguese Studies!

In the Winter semester 2018, the undergraduate program in Portuguese Studies will be offering a new and exciting course! Enrol in PRT358 and learn about Literatures and Cultures of Lusophone Africa: Aesthetics, Politics and Identities.

The course focus on the study of literary texts from various Portuguese-speaking African countries from colonial to post-colonial times. The focus will be on the relationship between literature, politics, cultural aesthetics, national consciousness and independence movements, and the continuous refashioning of African identities in the post-colony.
